What is microblading?
Microblading adds tiny hair-like strokes to your brows. Anjali uses a small hand tool with very fine needles. She places colour just under the top layer of your skin.
Each stroke is drawn to look like a real brow hair. Up close it reads as hair, not as a block of colour. The aim is brows that look like yours, only fuller and even.
This is not a deep tattoo. The colour sits near the surface, so it softens over time instead of staying forever.
What happens at your appointment

The consultation is free
You and Anjali talk first. Bring photos of brows you like. Show her how you fill your brows in now.
She will tell you honestly what will suit your face. Sometimes the answer is a different treatment, and you will hear that too.

Shape and colour
Anjali measures your face and draws the shape in pencil. You look in the mirror. Nothing begins until you say yes to it.
Then you choose the colour together. She matches it to your own brow hair so it does not look drawn on.

Numbing
A numbing cream goes on your brows and is covered for about twenty minutes. Most people feel light scratching after that, and nothing sharp.

The strokes
A new sealed needle is opened in front of you. Anjali mixes your colour, then draws each stroke by hand.
More numbing cream goes on while she works. She builds the colour slowly, because it is far easier to add than to take away.

Reveal and top-up
You see your brows the same day. Anjali checks you are happy and makes any last changes.
Your brows look bold for a few days, then settle and lighten over about two weeks. You come back within about six weeks so Anjali can perfect them. That visit is included.
How long does microblading last?
Most people keep their brows looking good for about eighteen months to two years. A refresh after that brings them back.
How long yours last depends on your skin. Oily skin softens the strokes faster. Sun, swimming and strong face products all shorten it as well.
Is microblading safe?
Yes, when it is done in a clean studio with a fresh needle. A new sealed needle is opened for every client, in front of them.
Some people should not have microblading. Please tell Anjali before you book if any of these apply to you:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have diabetes, epilepsy, or a heart condition
- You use a pacemaker, or have had an organ transplant
- You get keloid scars
- You are allergic to metal or to numbing cream
- You have a rash, cut or skin condition near your brows
If your skin is sensitive you may see a little redness or puffiness. It usually settles within a few hours.
